Don Nelson - Head Coach
Nelson is the ‘old man’ of the Crusaders’ organization.
Without Don, the Crusaders would not exist today. He has
been the owner since 1998 and is the man responsible for
building the organization into what it is today.
Coaching, recruiting, fundraising, counseling,
injections of personal funds, Pop Warner coaching and
the list goes on as to his involvement. Don states that
he is fully controlled by his wife, 2 sons, 1 daughter
and 2 grandkids |

Jim Hardin - Assistant Coach
Jim has been an active part of the Crusaders since
1999 and is currently both coaching and donating
many hours weekly as the organization’s webmaster.
Jim graduated KUHS a very, very long time ago! In
the past, Jim volunteer coached Babe Ruth for 17
years and high school baseball for 2 years. Jim and
his wife have been married forever and have two
daughters and one grandson.

Jason Allen - Offensive Coordinator
Jason began as a player with the Crusaders in 1996
and played until an injury in the 2007 season forced
him to hang up his cleats. Jason graduated KUHS and
Eastern Oregon University and is a local teacher and
coach. He has been involved with volunteer
activities at his church, the Special Olympics
Program and local youth football programs. Jason is
married and has two sons. |

Kent Taylor - Defensive Coordinator
Kent is another 2007 season injured player turned
coach who has also been with the Crusaders since
1996.
Kent graduated KUHS and is employed locally as a
service technician. He is an active volunteer in
youth football programs such as Pop Warner and
spends most of his non-working hours sharing time
with his wife in the raising of their two sons and
three daughters. |

Garry Young - Special Teams and DB Coach
Garry joined the Crusaders staff during the 2007
season
and states that, next to his wife and five kids, the
Crusaders are one of the best things that has
happened to him. He graduated Pittsburg High School
and Los Mendonas College and makes his living as a
computer technician and general contractor. He is
actively involved as a volunteer in local youth
football programs . Garry is one happy dude wishing
to spread his happiness to others. |
